I have actually come back to read this again. I love that you have Chloe make him work for it! I found this ship hard to really believe in the show. It was way too fast onscreen. You filling in the blanks made me feel it was much more possible.

I'm not quite sure what to say here. Thanks? Sorry? A little of both? Honestly, I was writing this fic as mostly a comedy (the next goes more realistically into their relationship) and generally, I don't find it fun to write people at their smartest in comedies. Sorry you found that so off-putting, Mystery Reader.

It really was evil, even when it aired. I remember seeing those roses and being so sure Ollie would show up in the episode and let us know WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON WITH CHLOLLIE. But no!

You know after I caught onto the time frame I realized they were never going to get their chance. But after the V-day mess I get the impression that Chloe is going to straighten that out. At least I hope considering they do seem chummy before it all goes pears shaped in Conspiracy again. But then it explains why Oliver is so guarded and bitter when he confronts her. He has really let those feelings go from being verbally slapped down. I love this. You've written them brilliantly. Can't wait for more. Thank you for the awesome update.

I definitely didn't see Chlollie as starting out with hearts and flowers, especially with how adversarial they'd been in season 8 and even a bit in season 9. I'm so glad you enjoyed as I remember there being some reader backlash, back when I wrote this, thinking I wrote Ollie as cruel to her. But, with how he acted in Conspiracy, I knew that vibe of distrust had to last a bit longer before they could start making their way to couplehood for real.
